All elective have >50% survival at 5 years
All emergent have <40% survival at 5 years
Patients admitted elective with no organ support in CC - 70%
5yr
Patients admitted emergent with ward level - 23% 5yr
survival
Elective vs emergent remains when taking: age, diagnosis method,
aims, progression, comorbidites, socioeconomics
Ward Support: Critical Care does better than Ward
Adjusted though: Did not seem to effect survival
More Selection bias due to other variables (age, disease state,
etc)
Although maybe something seen in the elective cohort,
where developing organ failure patients seem to do as bad as ward
patients
Non Curative Treatment: 5x Increase in Hazard of Death
Metastatic Disease: 2x Increase in Hazard of Death
